Our teams of engineers and technicians work closely with production and testing services to continuously evolve our thermal and mechanical concepts. Thanks to our integrated R&D service, we carry out pilot-scale tests, validate new heat exchanger designs, and develop innovative solutions such as laser-welded embossed double jackets or next-generation plate heat exchangers.
This experimental and collaborative approach allows us to anticipate industrial needs, improve the energy efficiency of processes, and strengthen the long-term reliability of our equipment.

For several decades, Ziemex has been a pioneer in laser welding and continues to invest in the latest available technologies.
- Advanced laser welding: we continuously improve our processes, particularly on complex materials such as Alloy C276, Titanium, Zirconium, and Inconel.
- Continuous monitoring through AI: our latest innovation allows us to automatically track, trace, and archive the quality of laser welds as they exit the machine. Result: complete traceability and maximum reliability of your equipment.
- Continuous improvement: each evolution of our production tool has a clear objective: to strengthen the quality, safety, and efficiency of your installations.
R&D process
A Pilot station to test your processes
We provide you with a complete testing station, designed to reproduce your industrial conditions and validate your processes at pilot scale.
Equipped with a 500L reactor with its distillation column, 500L aerobic and anaerobic fermenters, a 5m² falling film evaporator, a steam generator, and an in-line filter, it covers a wide range of applications.
These equipment operate in a range of -10 to 140 °C and from 25 mbar absolute to 2 bars.
Combined with our supervision system (temperature, pressure, flow rate, pH, O₂ ), they allow for detailed data analysis, essential for extrapolating your processes to industrial scale. We conduct tests for you in many fields:
- Chemical reactions

- Crystallization
- Evaporation and concentration
- Fermentation
