ZIEMEX design office supports its clients from the pre-study phase to the commissioning of their equipment.
The mission of our 14 collaborators in the Design Office is to transform your needs into reliable, high-performance, and compliant solutions, integrating all the constraints of your process (space, thermal, cleanability, safety).
As a true interface between your teams and our workshops, the ZIEMEX design office coordinates all design and engineering stages to ensure the success of each project. From functional analysis to thermal and mechanical dimensioning, our engineers ensure the technical coherence, traceability, and regulatory compliance of your equipment. This integrated approach allows for performance optimization from the design phase and secures on-site implementation.
From pre-study
to quoting
- Technical proposals adapted to the client’s constraints (space, thermal needs, cleanability, process integration).
- A thermal calculation note for dimensioning.
- If necessary, a mechanical pre-study (loads on nozzles, reinforcements to be planned, choice of thicknesses).
- A principle diagram of the selected equipment.
- For skids: a PID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) from the pre-study phase.
Detailed Studies
& engineering
Once the project is validated, we move on to the detailed engineering phase:
- Detailed and assembly plans: created in 3D on Inventor, with 2D complements if necessary.
- Definition and monitoring of material and component purchases.
- Thermal calculation notes updated in case of project evolution.
- Mechanical calculation notes: validation of thicknesses, reinforcements, supports.
- Specific calculations: seismic analyses for exposed areas, load constraints.
- For skids: final PID validated with the client, functional analysis, FAT in the workshop, and SAT on site.
TOOLS &
Specific Software
Our design office relies on the best design and calculation tools to guarantee precision, safety, and compliance. CAD is carried out using Autocad and Inventor 3D, ensuring a complete and faithful modeling of the equipment. Analytical calculations are performed with DIMY (compliant with EN-13445, AD2000, ASME codes) and AUXECAP (according to CODAP), while finite element calculations (FEM) are carried out with ANSYS to validate the mechanical resistance and integrity of the assemblies.
This combination of high-performance tools allows for securing the design, controlling costs, and adjusting the dimensions as accurately as possible.
